2. Star of the County Down Play click here for more informationThis song is a rock version of a traditional irish lovesong. The melody stems from the old irish air ‚My Love Nell’, the text was written later by Cathal MacGarvey. The song tells of a young lad, who describes his feelings about a beautifull lass, whom he calls ‚Star of the county down’.
Both voices in this song are sung by me.

4. Finnegan’s Wake Play click here for more informationThis song is an irish folksong. It tells us of an irish, who gets drunk, falls from a ladder and dies. His wake is a typical irish wake, with party, revelry and brawl. As while brawling a drammie is spilled on the corpse. He revives and rants about wastin’ whiskey.

Songs 1-4 were recorded in a friend’s home recording studio. The first was recorded in January 2008, wereby the other 3 were recorded in May of 2008. Songs 5 & 6 were recorded live at my ZAV-examination. Therefore, i would kindly ask you to excuse the poor recording quality.
All of the songs were sung only by me (even the second song, both voices), with the exception of the last piece, in which i was accompanied by a peer for a short part.
